Business Planning

Creating a comprehensive business plan for an organization provides a road map to document and communicate the current business picture and future organizational dreams and objectives. 

Grant Writing

Obtaining funding through grant research and writing for non-profit projects including a food shelf, park and and playground renovation, and local municipality projects. 

Act 250 Guidance

The Act 250 permitting can be challenging and stressful. By working with a point person to guide you through the process, planning, communication and documentation is simplified. 

Strategic Planning

Overseeing strategic planning in a rural Vermont town to increase recreation tourism and economic development. Activities include grant writing, research, community engagement, budgetary planning, and event promotion.     

Board Leadership

Serving in multiple leadership roles, including governance, negotiations, and finance, on a forming school system board to transition from an 8 town/7 school district to a new unified school district serving over 1,300  students.

Non-Profit Development

Assisting with organization and development of newly formed local non-profit food shelf to serve food insecure population, promote healthy living, and increase involvement and awareness in rural Vermont community.       

Funding Strategies

Raising funds to ensure organizational and project objectives are met through community financial support. Most solicitation completed utilizing social media and contacts of influence. 

Marketing & Social Media

Communication and collaboration through utilization of social media and direct mail marketing to engage others. Most aspects of a project require require responsive and engaging communication to ensure overall success. 

ServSafe Certification

Understanding food safety is critical when working with restaurants, retail stores who distribute food, and non-profits who feed the community. 

Public Relations

Working with local and state television stations and newspapers is critically important. By building strong relationships with news organizations and continually communicating about initiatives, entities are "in-the-spotlight" consistently and in a positive manner.
